Samarpan means devotion—the unwavering commitment that transforms practice into mastery.
In this special three-hour masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from Amit Mishra, an internationally acclaimed tabla artist and exponent of the renowned Banaras Gharana. Born into a distinguished usical lineage in Varanasi, Amit Mishra has trained under some of the most respected masters of the tradition and has accompanied legendary musicians and dancers across the world.
Designed for all levels of tabla students, this workshop will explore the rich rhythmic language of the Banaras tradition through kaidas, compositions, technique, and performance insights drawn directly from Amitji's repertoire and lineage. Whether you are a beginner looking to strengthen your foundations or an advanced student seeking fresh inspiration, this is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in one of India's most vibrant tabla traditions.
More than a workshop, SAMARPAN is an invitation to deepen your relationship with rhythm and experience the joy, discipline, and creativity that lie at the heart of tabla.
A unique opportunity to learn from a master artist carrying the living tradition of the Banaras Gharana.
